This is a significant story
for all practitioners of Jujitsu in that it shows the kind of
encounter that created the “Gentle Art”: a samurai stands by his
broken sword, faced by another samurai with his weapon raised. In
the next second he has to either defend himself unarmed against
one of the deadliest swordsmen on Earth, or die. Jujitsu came
from the Samurai’s need to survive encounters like this. |
